Aletha Smith

My practice includes painting with natural pigments and hand stitching on textiles, monotype printmaking and silversmithing. I draw inspiration from the weft and weave of textiles and natural forms. I find myself continually coming back to repeating patterns with lines and marks, they feel a bit like keeping time.
