Bee Denham Art
Originally a graphic designer, I have been working out how to be an artist for the last five years, exploring different mediums and subjects. I painted wildlife in the beginning, have explored painting and drawing portraits, dog walkers, pets, people’s homes, floral subjects and have come full circle back to painting birds and wildlife. In 2023 I was selected as a finalist in Collie Art Prize for a portrait of a local man and his dog on a motorcycle and most recently have been fortunate to have the opportunity of being Stirling Street Arts Centre’s artist in residence where my practice has grown and I’ve been able to plan how to go forward with my art next year. Last year I lost my studio to the tornado event and had to change to working on small pieces on paper until I was able to move home and bring big canvases back. I will be continuing with watercolours and the large paintings, filling them with colour and expressing my love for both art and nature.
