Jane Andel

Jane is a painter whose practice is grounded in a deep sensitivity to light, mood and the natural world around her. She began painting in watercolours with no art history in 2020 during the first of our covid lockdowns and has developed a fluid, intuitive approach to mark making that continues to inform her current work in oils.The last 12 months have seen Jane's practice move from the interpretation of photographic artists from around the world to abstract landscapes and still lives. Her enjoyment of painting is grounded in exploring new styles and techniques which challenge her to continue to grow as an artist.
