Lynne Mitchell

Originally a geologist, I am fascinated by the rocks and trees contained in the natural world around me. I create multilayered compositions by combining a variety of mixed media and traditional printmaking techniques in order to convey the hidden details within these landscapes. My studio is situated at the top of a hill in the Ferguson Valley overlooking Bunbury and the ocean. This environment is surrounded by rocks, fields and forest which provides endless inspiration for my art.In addition to framed and unframed artworks I also produce a range of accessories showcasing my original art and designs. I have exhibited extensively in major exhibitions in Australia and also participated in several international exhibitions. In addition I have collaborated with Denise Gillies to hold several major exhibitions together. We have also regularly partnered in previous years Tree St Art Safaris under our combined LinkD banner, as well as together at other art trails and venues.
