My practice explores the emotional and physical connection I feel to the Australian landscape. Working intuitively, I use bold colour, layered textures, and gestural mark-making to capture the shifting energy, rhythm, and essence of place rather than its literal form. Years of travel across Australia continue to inform my visual language, inspiring works that balance structure and spontaneity.Alongside my landscapes, I create abstract florals and still lifes that reflect the same sense of harmony and connection with nature. These works often draw on found objects, organic forms, and the subtle interplay of light and movement.Using a range of media, I build surfaces that invite close observation — revealing traces of process, memory, and emotion. My practice ultimately seeks to evoke a sensory experience of place, celebrating the beauty and vitality of the natural world.
